Are there any side effects to Body Contouring?
Some people may experience some tenderness, redness and bruising in the treatment area. This typically resolves within 48 hours. You may also experience more frequent urination & bowel movement during the days after treatment.
Is Body Contouring safe?
Yes! I am qualified and insured. All treatments are non invasive, meaning we don't break the skin barrier (with needles for example) and there is no downtime! Please read through the contraindications to see if any health conditions might prevent you from having treatment. If you're unsure, please get in touch.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your body type, your goals and how well you follow aftercare advice.
Most people see lasting results after about 5-8 sessions.
Can I see results after 1 treatment?
You can see results after 1 treatment, however, as with all non invasive treatments, a course of treatments is recommended for better and lasting results. Most people start seeing the best results 1 or 2 days after the treatment and by following aftercare advice.
How can I maximize the results of my treatment?
If you follow aftercare advice to the best of your ability. Keep up with your sessions and perhaps take some photos of your progress. This can motivate and excite you for your next session and to keep going on your body contouring journey!
Does it hurt?
No! Some treatments might feel slightly uncomfortable in certain areas but no treatment should ever be unbearable or painful! I will ensure that you will feel comfortable during treatment.
Can I have treatment while on my period?
If we are treating the stomach area, I would suggest to wait until your period is lighter, or over. Listen to your body and let it rest.
How often should I have sessions?
For best results, we recommend to take sessions weekly or bi-weekly.
Will Body Contouring treatments help me lose weight?
Weight loss is a by-product of following aftercare advice and doing a course of sessions. Body Contouring on it's own is not meant to be a weight loss treatment but can help you lose inches, tone up and improve your body's shape. Similar to buying a protein shake on it's own won't help you build muscle and lose weight. You still need to put in some work.
Why should I drink lots of water?
Drinking lots of water and staying hydrated is key to achieve the best possible results from your treatment. We are breaking down fatty tissue during the treatment and move it towards your lymph nodes. Your lymphatic system is your own body's powerhouse to get rid of toxins and to flush them out through your urine. Increased water intake will benefit the flow of the lymphatic system.
